    Description

    Ladies and Gentlemen,
On September 26th 1999 Houston TX had its 2nd annual C.A.R.T (Championship Auto Racing Teams) race through the streets of downtown. Juan Montoya collided with Hélio Castroneves causing both to exit the race. The headline by the Houston Chronicle “TURN OF FATE” not that it was a serious accident by any means. Both drivers walked away unscathed. But that was a huge blow for driver Juan Montoya to be taken out of the race so soon. He was projected to win the race. Juan Montoya did go on to win the championship that year along with rookie of the year. A few days after the race, yes a few as in all the teams had gone home and streets re-opened. I was in downtown Houston driving around checking out the wall and catch fence when I found some bright red pieces next to the outside wall. I grabbed them up and came home only to identify them as parts of Juan Montoya’s Honda Reynard. This has been in my collection since 1999. I feel like I am ready to part with it and put it in someone else’s collection. Please look at all the pictures. Some are from the race that day. I have the photo from the paper with owner Chip Ganassi next to the car that appears to be a different city. It’s just a reference photo. Comes with newspaper to tell the story. It serves as like the true certificate of authenticity that anyone could ever have. That and the actual video of the race that I believe is floating around on YouTube.
I will ship this out as soon as I can and make sure it comes within a couple of days. I will take care of shipping cost.
Please look at all these pictures and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
I have priced at ,099 which I feel is adequate for this gem. But will consider offers. This is a super, super rare piece of auto racing history and there are hardly any CART or INDY style memorabilia floating around quite like this. Again look at all the pics and if you have any questions please let me know.
    John
