Vintage Emerald Green Owens-Illinois Glass Company Sunsweet Bottle Pat Appl'd For. The Owens-Illinois Glass Company made the emerald green glassware from 1929 to the late 1950's. Measures approx. 7" High x 6" Wide x 3" Deep. I left the condition as I found it. The previous owner used the bottle for Raw Linseed Oil according to the torn label. It just has some "character" the way it is. The white residue looks like it could have been where someone grabbed the bottle with one hand, four prints on one side and one on the other. I couldn't get the lid off but that doesn't mean it wouldn't with some soaking. According to several website the number on the left of the trademark indicates the plant and for this bottle that would be either Fairmont or Huntington, WV which opened in 1930. The number on the right indicates the year it was made. A single digit date code with no period “.” indicates a date in the 1930s. For example, “5” is “1935”, “2” is “1932”, etc. This bottle has a "6". I don't see any cracks or chips. There is no liquid in the bottle just oil residue that shows up in some of the photos. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
