MEMBERSHIP PORTFOLIO
This is a COMPLETE vintage 1970s membership portfolio for the defunct Goodyear Motor Sports Club created by Goodyear to enhance fan awareness of their participation in racing.  This promotional program was unfortunately short-lived making these materials extremely rare.  The packet contains a 36-3/8" x 23-1/4" foldout color roadmap of the United States depicting the 55 major US and Canadian racing venues supported by Goodyear at the time.  Also included are a 6" x 3-1/4" lap time calculator, a 5" x 2" embroidered club patch, one large and one small club sticker and two guest passes ("signed" by Leo Mehl) to the Goodyear Motorsports Club area located in the paddock of each event.  All of these are packaged in a 5" x 10" vinyl wallet with Porsche artwork on the front cover and pen-and-ink images of the 18 racing drivers comprising the Goodyear Advisory Staff
on the back.  This membership packet was obtained directly from Goodyear upon joining the Motorsports Club in the 1970s and has been in storage in our smoke-free homes since then.  Overall it is in virtually new condition with no tears, stains, fading, creases or flaws of any kind.  All the colors on the map are bright, vivid and crisp with no wear, stains or fading.
If you are a collector of racing memorabilia, Goodyear advertising campaigns or unusual corporate promotional materials, here's a great chance to acquire a superb example of a unique and comprehensive marketing effort by Goodyear that never achieved its intended membership.  The short lifespan of this program makes these items extremely rare and difficult to find, especially all together in this condition.  Don't let these get away!
