Vintage Watkins Glass Bottle.
Vanilla or perhaps liniment?
Originally was a corked bottle.
Features

• Scripted front: The J. R. Watkins Co.
• REG. U. S. PAT. OFF.
• No writing on the other side.
• Bottom has the number 8.
• Glass bottle likely held liniment or vanilla --
possibly 11 to 12 ounces.
• Lovely beveled edges on the bottle.
• Bottle is 8.25 inches tall.
• No chips, cracks, stains.
• In wonderful condition for being glass
and perhaps 60-70 years old. Or more.
• Bottle only ----no cork.
Watkins Incorporated is the manufacturer
of baking products,
health remedies, and other household items.
Company was founded by J. R. Watkins in 1868,
in southeastern Minnesota.
He began selling liniment door-to-door in neighborhoods.
Baking materials, including vanilla and pepper
were added in 1895.
Headquarters were built 1911-1913,
are in Winona, MN, and the building is on
the National Register of Historic Places.
