This Vintage, Rare, and Controversial Surtees Durex Formula Racing Sticker dates to the late 1970s, has been in storage for more than 40 years in a smoke and pet free home, and is in very good condition for its age. The color side of the sticker is not visible without deploying it, but it would seem that the colors are strong and there would be no problems with the appearance. The backside of the sticker shows a few minor smudges and glue-like marks.  The condition of the actual adhesive is unknown, but given that it is still intact with its backing, one would assume that it is fine.
John Surtees' sponsorship for his TS19 in 1976, 1977, and 1978 by Durex condoms proved to be quite controversial with threats of exclusion in some countries. Nonetheless, the sponsorship endured for three years. During this period notable drivers included Alan Jones, Brett Lunger, Patrick Tambay, Vern Schuppan, and Rupert Keegan.
